Increasing Motivation
Self–coaching is a great motivational tool as it can help with understanding want you want to be, do and have in life. There may be periods when you feel lost, or lack clarity about which direction to take and taking time out to pause and engage in self-inquiry can assist with getting you back on track. Motivation can come from internal or external factors, helping to build inner strength and drive when self-coaching is used in the following ways to…

-think about the big picture and your purpose
-help with developing a vision and mission statement for your life or a business
-create an ethos and rules to live by
-set short, medium and long-term goals and targets
-become aware of barriers to motivation and taking action
-identify and challenge fears and the things that frighten you from doing what you need to do
-hold yourself accountable through checking in on your progress and asking questions about things that are not working well
-review your decisions and reflect on your choices
-overcome problems and challenges by choosing how to respond and to think about what your next actions should be
-think about your Why? The reasons for taking specific actions in the first place
-seek support from the right people who can help you along the way
-be clear on expected outcomes, while staying open to new opportunities.
